Hello all. I'm new to the group and pretty much new to owning Fords. I recently bought a 1992 Ranger XLT from a car lot and have no history on this rig at all. The problem I'm having with it is the wipers. I only have high wipers, no slow and no intermittent. I have replaced the motor, column switch and fuse, but nothing seems to fix the problem. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains here a lot. I deliver papers every morning and need my wipers. I am burning out the motor that is on the truck right now. Could someone please help me fix the problem? Thanx in advance ttlcnfsn

If no one else answers then this is the solution. There is a resistor pack (similar to the one for the interior fan control) Follow the wires from the switch or the motor and find a little module. It is a little pack of coils that reduces the voltage. I'm not sure in that model, but it may be in the firewall below or around the wiper motor. Littleman Michael
