I was just wondering if any of you guys ever beat a mustang in a race? If so, could you tell me a little about what you have done to your car.

Hi, this is my first post. I would just like to tell you a little about some of the (minor) mods that i have done to my 95 base model. Well, let me tell you how the mods started. I was nitorious for letting people drive my car, not any more. My friend put it in the ditch. I had full coverage on it so it was not too much of a big deal besides it not being cherry any more. This wreck was some what of a blessing. Let me explan, I was working at the time at a body shop, so I petty much fixed the car for pretty much nothing. I spent the rest of the $5K on mods. I had to have a gt bumper (you would not believe how differnt the the two front ends are). I also added the door moldings and spoiler and repainted the original black paint with a custom Dupont paint, It is still back but now with metalic flake that change colors in the sun light. The radio is still stock but I added the grafic EQ from a 94 that they did away with in 95, most of the wires hook directly up but I did have to run some of my own wires. Well, thats about it on the mods for now, anyone with any comments about my mods or have any ideas, reply. Sorry so long.

First things first what kind of mustang is it ? year make model I have betten a 97 GT but lost to the cobra the kid in the gt didn't know how to shift. the older models aren't that fast unless they have mods done to them you know the 80's models the old 5.0 they have a lot of bark but not to much bite. I can help a little with engine mods but I mostly know about tearing the block down and building it from the bottom up thats how I got my speed tranny work etc etc good tires help the ones that don't burn out easily but I find that hard to do unless I try if it's a 2.0 engine there are plenty of ways to take a mustang mail me later Blake >

just so you guys know, a stock 87-95 5.0 mustang both fox-chassis and sn95-chassis cars, have 210 horsepower and 300 lb/feet of torque from factory, so its pretty hard to beat them from factory.  also, the 96+ mustang gt's the 4.6L sohc models, also the sn95 chassis cars, have 240+ horsepower and about 295 lb/feet of torque.  these cars arent the greatest in the world, granted, but to whoop up on them in a 2.0 L naturally aspirated 4 banger, thats a task.  i couldnt even pull away from them until top end of second and then 3rd gear in my ex's eclipse gs turbo, and i didnt lose to any probes areound here, gt or se, unless they were supercharged or had the jap-motor's swapped into them.  i believe u beat mustangs, but trust me, theres ALOT that needs to be done to a 2.0 probe without forced industion to beat em.
thanks
Jeremy

Never had to change mine, but did find it in my book   Says to remove the screws and pull down the front portion of the inner fender liner, this provides just enough room for your hand to reach in and access the two bulb holders.   Turn the bulb holders counterclockwise and pull out of housing.

The advise below is sound - it appears to be precisely the steps I had to take to change mine once upon a time.....

was it at zero completely at the bottom of the gauge or right on the line for normal/bad? mine always rode that line unless i got into the throttle really hard the pressure would come up...these cars tend to see oil pumps go however so if its on the line just replace the pump whenever u get a chance...and if u have absolutely zero pressure dont drive it wait till daylight and then check over everything u can. peace

My guage did that once, and oh yeah, it cost me 3K bucks to fix the damages. Mine fluxuated for a while though. You better not drive it untill you can check it out to see what's going on.
