Hello i just bought a ford f-150 1984. i am doing some work on it like breaks and the dash board type stuff, very minor. just asking if anyone had tips on how to redo it or where to buy stuff for it. does anyone know if it is a good truck, it has less than 100,000 miles on it close to 80,000. thanks .

depends on what type of engine you have, if you have the 300 I6 you have a engine that will run at least another 100K if you take care of it, as for where to get parts, when i was looking at redoing my 84 that i had i planed on JC Whitney http://www.jcwhitney.com/ for most of the parts others i would look local just a HIT: IF YOU HAVE A 4X4 CHANGE THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS NOW my truck had 92k or 192K on it and the bearing froze up on me total repair was around 150+ i had to replace everything from the rotors to the spindles that the wheel is secured to the spindles were hard to find in the twin cities area. depending on what type of trans you have yes you have a good truck. good luck andrew mtt37849
