Don't know if anyone else has gotten their letter yet but today I just got a recall notice for my 96 PSE... it said Ford is recalling certain 1995 - 1997 Probe Vehicels. Doesn't seem like anything life threating... guess the gas caps aren't up to Federal Standards so their replacing them for free. Just figured I would say something incase anyone wasn't to be notified and want to check it out they could. The Recall # is 99E02 Fred

Oh great after I already paid $7 for a new one because it wouldn't pass inspection. What the hell about our oil pump, those cheap bastards. Oh sorry, just pisses me off. Recall on a stinking gas cap, while 90% of us are driving around with the HLA's clattering like a Mac Truck, because of a crappy designed oil pump. ARRRRGGG! Sorry, I'm getting carried away again. Here in California I think, as told by my auto shop teacher, auto manufacturers only have to recall a part that a)Puts occupants in danger or b)Increases emissions into the atmosphere. Bullshit to me because my EGR boost sensor had a fault in it and Ford even admitted that a "bad batch" of these was sent out. Are they replacing them? No but you can purchase one for $350! Pisses me right off. Chad >
