Location: USA
Anyone experience an automatic transmission "surge" or "lunge forward" with the trans in drive while pressing on the brake pedal? I have a 4-speed auto trans and this happens when I come to a stop with the trans in drive (D). If I put the trans in the next lower gear, the problem goes away. Is this caused by transmission downshifting based on engine speed/vacuum? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
