1996 Explorer odometer inop most of the time/ operates for a few miles now and then/ speedo operates normally. Unit uses electric pickup/no cable but is not digital. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Merry Christmas, Tom

Well either the pickup or the gauge or the wire between them is bad, I am sure Ford has a test procedure in the shop manual. Craig >
