Happy Thanksgiving everyone My sister-in-law hit a deer and the airbags deployed on her 1998 WINDSTAR. I am trying to help her get it running, that said. The deer did very little damage to the WINDSTAR broken headlight on driver side, cracked the hood. But it will not start? Is the problem the airbag module? If so where Is it at, I mean how do I find it on the Van? Does it have to be replaced? If I Find it does it just plug in and unplug? Thanks for the help Walter

thanks Shane, That seems to be OK. The instrument panel and all the gauges, inside lights, power doors, winders and lock works. When she hit the deer It blow a fuse for the headlights, I fixed that checked the other fuses out. When I try to start it seems to me that there is no power going to the starter. It will not even try to turn over. I had a older Ford Ranger and someone backed into it at the mall and the air bag deployed. I just stuffed the airbag back in as best as I could an was able to drive home.

i agree with finding and confirming that the fuel cutoff or rollover inertia switch hasn't tripped. It's location will be noted in the owner's manual.

Ok thanks to everyone I got it running. The problem was one wire cut into under the hood. Do not know what that wire was for but when I fixed it started. Thanks again Walter
