Not sure if anybody else has had this happen to them so I thought I pass it on as a FYI ... July 4th taking my youngest daughter for ice cream I started hearing a noise under the truck, next thing I knew the engine light was on and smoke was coming from under the hood and the truck was dead. A few days later the Ford dealer told me the block heater has malfunction and needed to be replace, they replace it and also said the thermostat was sticking and replace that. They got the truck running but said white smoke was coming from the pipes ... they check it out and said the motor was shot, apparently fluid from the heater got inside the motor, crack head and warp block is want I believe they said ... the truck has 86,000 miles on it, I have the extended ESP 100,000 warranty and finally found out today that they will cover it, thank God. I was very worried the last 3 days all I was hearing was that ESP is reviewing it. Just a warning, save all of your maintenance papers, I needed to show them to the ESP person. Ford called me today and said that they should have an engine in 2 to 3 days for me. Does anybody know what a 6 cylinder goes for? Have a great evening, Marty
