I have a 1999 Windstar and i trying to figure out where and why it makes a ticking noise.When i start my Windstar there is a loud ticking that seems to be behind the dashboard if i turn on the AC the noise will stop after a minute or so. I can the turn the AC off and the noise wont come back untill i turn the car off and start it up again. I look behind the dashboard from the passangers side and could see "not sure what it is called" some kind of metal switch or lever that seemed to be the source of the tick. Thx.
