My truck is 2002 5.4 4x4 supercrew Last week blew out a plug got through that! was getting gas 4 days later truck was running and it just died while filling , truck started drove 2 miles truck died like running out of gas started it back up after a bit of cranking drove it for 2 weeks no problem then last night it died while driving like it ran out of gas i changed the fuel filter on the frame rail tonight and can hear pump in tank running started right up i brought it up to high rpm to blow any stuff i might have picked up let off it idled for 1 minute and died. has any one had this problem i do not have check engine light on so this leads me to believe it is not computer related but i am starting to wonder if my auto start could cause these problems heck i dont know any help would be appreciated

Change the 3 hoses on top of the tank (fuel, return, vapor return) to make sure they are not snagged, pinched, or twisted.Change the sock filter on the pump at the same time. Next time your truck stalls, push in the schoreder valve at the back of the engine on the fuel rail with a ball point pen to see if fuel squirts up in the air. If so, no fuel problem. If not, fuel problem.
