Help with 460 head. I have a new motor (less than 2 hours on it) when I dropped a cylinder compression on #8 cylinder. I pulled the head and found a piece of trash/carbon in the valve seat, I cleaned it all out and is ok now with the compresion. The problem I have now is while I had the cylinder head off, I filled the exhaust port with oil (to see if it was sealing closed) and it filled up the front 2 exhaust ports as well? Do I have a crack or void in thiis cylinder head or is this normal? I'm not a ford knowledge person
This is a .060 over 13 to 1 compression engine in a jet boat.
thanks for any info.

Hey Buddy did you get your problem figured out yet? If I'm not mistaken 460 heads have a small hole that you can see infront of each exhaust valve that is a chamber connecting all 4 together. I noticed it when I was porting my heads, not sure what it's for maybe to equalize flow through all the ports? If your heads are like mine DOVE-C.
