I recently purchased a 99 Expedition, and have a question regarding the 4WD. I have no problem switching in and out of 4W-Hi, But seem to have great difficulty getting the truck out of 4W-Lo. Is there a trick to this? I do not have an owners manual, so I'm kinda in the dark here? Any other advice on using the 4WD? Thanks! Check out this great new pro SUV site....www.suvsrock.com

You may want to try stopping, shifting into neutral then putting it into 4-lo. You should here a loud clunk and then you will be on your way(slowly). That should work....... Pat

But, what about getting it OUT of 4W-Lo, that seems to be my problem. It's going in fine. Thanks for the advice!

You will hear a loud clunk as the case comes out of 4-lo. If it continues while your driving then you may have a problem, but one "un-natural" clunk is very normal. Pat
