Hi, I have an 83 T'Bird V8 5.0 that isn't getting gas. I took the in-line fuel pump in to be tested and the one in the gas tank is working and it looks like gas is getting to the gas valve on the engine. It is not starting, it is acting like it is out of gas when it has a full tank. I don't have any check engine lights or anything. I sprayed starter fluid on it but when I hit the gas and the throttle opened up it died. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions as to what it could be, please let me know. Thanks!! Tiffany

Sounds like you lost a timing belt or chain (not sure which one is on the 5.0 A good check for this is check for a raw gas smell by the tail pipe after turning it over for a short time. If there is, it means the engine is getting gas it's just getting it at the wrong time.
