I have an 83 V8 302 5.0 and I just recently replaced the module and the tps and the car ran fine for a few days and then all of the sudden it died. I got a jump and it fired right up but as I was driving it home it died on me again. I took the battery to be tested and it tested fine. I got another jump and it started right up but I tried to start it this morning and it would not turn over. Any ideas as to what might be causing this would be a great help! Tiffany

If I was to guess with out looking at the car, I would say to check the starter. On some of the fords I have come across the starters will start to draw too many amps and over load the battery. replacing the starter fixes the problem. Like I said I'm just guessing since I haven't looked at the car. Good luck, and please post the rememedy when you find it. Jack Pierce

I tried the coil yesturday and it didn't work. It seems like it is doing the exact same thing as it did when I had to replace the module and throttle position sensor. My neighbor noticed that with my hood down the positive terminal of the battery was touching the hood and making a spark, I wonder if that would have shorted out the module and/or the tps?
