I have an 84 E350\460 that I changed from C6 to E4OD. I got an 89 diesel van for parts, mostly the 7.3 diesel. It has a one inch plate between the engine and C6. The top two bolts go only into that plate, the rest appear to go thru into the block. I have been talking to Gear Heads Trans in Ohio about a diesel E4OD. They say the 89 was the first E4OD and that is has a unique mounting system. Did the 7.3 block change at some point? Will a later E4OD not bolt to an 89 7.3? TY Ray
