I'm having some problems here. I'm replacing my
clutch in my '93 with 1.9L engine. I'm using my Haynes
manual which has been pretty acurate in the past. I'm to
the part where I'm removing the driveaxles. The book
says to "tap" the driveaxles free from the hub with a
hammer. I've beat on them with a 4lb. brass hammer and
even had a couple of different pullers on them to
knock them free and they don't seem to be budging. I
was wondering if anyone had any advice. I believe I
can get them off with the pullers, but I was afraid I
was missing something since the book describes it as
"tapping" them out. I just didn't want to damage anything
by forcing them off. Any suggestions would be
appreciated for this new member of your club. Thanks.
