This problem happens once in a while. It can go 2 months without problem. Next week it happens 3 times. Fuel pump changed 2 times in past 2 months. 2 mechanics and a Ford dealer have not come up with a solution.

Did they change the rubber hoses on the tank top and sock filter when they changed the pump? If the service writer didn't write it down, a dealer mechanic is not usually authorized to do it. If the old sock filter was massively dirty, did they flush the tank or replace it if rusty?
