I have recently bought a 96 Contour with the original 10,500 miles onit. I'= m not real familiar with its quirks yet. But here are a few....1)When the fu= el guage gets down to the 1/4 mark, it only goes aboutanother 2-5 miles befo= re the needle slams down to empty. Is thisnormal? Or should I say typical?2)= The gas door does not always like to open via the lever on thefloor. Most o= f the time actually.3)It tends to 'stuter' when accelerating slowly from a s= top. That isthat?it feels like its surging on slow acceleration.4)Any recall= s that I need to know about? If so how can I find them? I really enjoy the l= ittle thing and will be taking it in soon for anoil change at the dealership= . I want them to look at it on theseother issues but at the same time I dont= want them to think that I'mbeing phsycotic about it. I know a bit about car= s and can do alot ofrepairs but it would help to know where to start. Any in= fo would begreatly appreciated!!
