I just bought a used 96 ford contour and it didn't come with an owners manual. I ordered one but it won't come for a week. It is a V6 2.5L and I need to know how many quarts of oil it takes since I am doing an oil change. Any help will be appreciated.<br><br>Alicia

It should be about 5.6 quarts. What I would do is change the oil and filter, put in 5 quarts, start the car up for about 1 min. to get the oil into the filter, then check the level and fill as needed.<br><br>GERII
