Hi, im having problems with my a/c and heater on my 96 explorer limited. The heater just blows out air even when the temp is raised to 90 no heat at all, also the a/c just blow air (no cold air at all). what items should i check to correct this problem. heater control is electronic/ digital. Thank you

You probably need to change an electronic module, the one that controls temp. Those electronic systems are nice when they work, but are expensive once they fail. >

- Like Craig said, probably bad module, BUT before you go for that, I would try the simple stuff. Look in owner's man. See fuses located on left side of dash - check all related to Autotemp. Also - more fuses under hood - 3 fuseblocks - one on right fender, 2 on left - as per owner's manual. Check all related to system. Look for corrosion of block contacts. Check all grounds under hood - unscrew, clean, apply dielectric grease, reassemble. Check all underhood connectors related to Autotemp, including compressor clutch, block heat sensor. clean and apply dielectric. I AVOID touching any thing related to airbag system. Until now, this has solved problems for me ranging from trouble with 4 wd engaging, ECM sensors, fuel gauge, etc. George fordexplorer@yahoogroups.com,
