My 96 XLT ABS locks up tighter than a drum the first time I step on the brakes when it is really damp or wet outside. After I drive for a few minutes it works fine, but the first stop is always interesting. Temperature doesn't seem to impact it. Has anyone else had this problem?

If you mean that the truck stops on a dime and is very touchy for the first few times, then yes, my 94 Bronc does the same thing. Don't know why though. If you find out let us know. Thanks!!!<br><br>Mike

Yeah, stops on a dime alright, barks the tires and tests the seatbelts too!!!!! And I guess I never thought too much about it but it is touchy the first couple of times after too. Guess I was too stunned after the initial stops to apply any real pressure to the brake pedal the next couple of times. Kinda gun shy I guess!!!!

my 95 does it too and is pretty messed up on ice pasenger front seems to lock up and slide the first few times u hit the brakes
