I blew the tranny in my ranger. Its a 99 and only has 28500 miles.. what gives???

Same with my ford truck. I had my tranny replaced , it was due to my carelessness trying to get unstuck from a snow storm.

You've done well to blow it at less that 30k. What were you doing? Hope you've got cover, I guess that's gonna be expensive.

Doesn't sound like it should be blowing that early. What do you use the truck for? It would take a lot of wear and tear to do damage to the tranny over such a short lenght of time.

With normal use it shouldn't of had any issues with that few miles on it, but if you were giving it a rough way to go i Can see it happening. My old 96 is fast approaching the 250,000 mark and never had an issue what so ever with my transmission.
