Hey guys and gals! Well my yellow girl got her first oil change today! I feel so proud! lol. Anyway, it is finally warm enough to clean the Escape myself and i noticed a bunch of road tar on the plastic panels. What is the best method for cleaning the plastic? Also, i want to get the grey formed mudflaps for it, i was priced $40 my cost per pair from my dealer. Does that sound fair? Is there any aftermarket flaps that are decent and in grey? I have a ton of more questions, but i'll save them till later! Thanks Darren

Sorry for taking awhile to answer Suggestions for cleaning the cladding are: bug and tar remover Amorall Oil Eater from Costco Wet n Black from Turtle Wax Baby Oil and good ole soap and water The $40 for the moulded splashguards sounds reasonable. They do come in grey and black. My Escape has passed the 80,000 km/50,000 mile mark and is still like new. Love my Escape Gary
