Thanks for the info Seth. My AC compressor also finally went out with 104k miles on the car now and I recently checked at a local AC shop on the cost for removal & replacement. They had the AC compressor in stock and I was quoted $374 for the part, labor & refill of the refrigerant. I'll end up getting a used compressor and change it out myself. But I just wanted you to know that you don't have to believe those silly Ford dealers when they say it will cost $1500 to fix and the compressors are more readily available than they want you to know.
