Does anyone know where I can get a diagram of what the accel linkage is supposed to look like for a '66? I have a cable hooked to the carb and was told by someone at James Duff that it was supposed to be a 'bar'(?) of some type.
dumdumguy@...

Broncobillyjr, thanks for the link to JD for the Link pic. However, I have a cable system as I have the original 170ci engine. the carb is sitting sideways on the top. cable crosses over. I think I am just going to try to create my own cable. We'll see, but thanks.
OTTO

The '66 used a cable throttle on the 170 . Don't have a pic tho . What is the problem ? There's not much to it , has a cable clamp & the end presses on a " ball " on the carb linkage if I remember right . V-8 used a rod linkage set up but cables can work too .

Thanks, y'all, for the assistance. I am just getting some breathing room and will just pull it out to see what the cable looks like. If its frayed or what. But thanks again.
