Hello all, First post here. I recently bought a 2002 Explorer XLT. I will be adding a bull bar and driving lamps and would like some advice. What would be the best way to bring the switch wiring thru the firewall? Anyone have any experience with this they might relate? Thanks in advance, John

Either find a hole with a grommet that you can push your wires through or drill a hole and be sure to grommet the hole so the metal does not cut the wires, then seal the hole with silicone so no air or water can get through it. Do this as the last step after all the wires are in place. >

Thanks for the info. I will say that I'm a bit nervous about blindly drilling thru the firewall given the possibilities of hitting some wiring or something else that can be damaged. Does anyone have any personal experience with running driving lamp switching wires thru the firewall? Thank you, John

DO NOT drill blind, make sure where you are drilling is clear on both sides. But you should be able to find an existing hole to add you wires to. >
