can i convert to DUAL exhaust ?? if so what does it entail?

Unless you can bend your own pipes it entails money. AND (legally) you can't remove anything before the cats unless it carries CARB approval. So the best you can legally do is cat back dual. One side will be easy to do since the exhaust already runs down that side. The other side will be MUCH tougher since there is a lot of stuff in the way. If a shop does it expect to pay at LEAST $450-500 for an aluminized steel cat back system. That should include mufflers, pipes, hangers, labor and (cheap) tips.

I’m not sure why you would want to do that. Since you’re still running all the exhaust thru a single cat, there would be little, if any, reduction in exhaust restriction. If you’re dong it for looks, just split the exhaust after the muffler and run a pipe out the other side.

aside from the performance advantages ( sans the cat ) i don't like the existing crossover which passes close beneath the tranny. bet it's responsible for cooking many a tranny.
