The Aero is equal to the Villager around town. Both return 17 mpg. But cruising at 60, the Villager returns over 24mpg, which is better than the 21 my Aero makes. Reliability: The Villager has 150K miles and still has plenty of power. The transmission, at that mileage, is 'slightly off' with an engagement problem in first occasionally, but generally good. Aerostar engines are good for 140-150K in my experience but are pretty tired out then. Noise level: The Aero, sometimes feels like I am sitting in the engine compartment, the Villager is like a tall car. Clive

That would be because, in an Aerostar, you are kind of sitting in the engine compartment. :) Rad
