Ok just wondering what kind of performance gain I could get by using eitehr of these? I have heard a cold air intake wouldnt give much more then just a plain K and N filter.

In my opinion the K&N drop in filter is better than most of the exposed cone type filters. They use the factory airbox as a heatshield to prevent heat soak. You will want to reduct your airbox to get a larger volume of air flowing. Look around the internet to find different air ducts that can mount somewhere behind the lower grill. This will let you get cooler air from in front of the engine. The whole thing will only take about an hour and about $50 or $60. Thats including the cost of the air filter!

I took the resonator off the intake box, I was planning on adding an air hose to the whole and routing it to under the headlight or something.

Do you think this would work?
