I don't even know where to look for the best price/selection (they're usually not in the same place, I know) for parts. F'rinstance, I was thinking cold/forced air intake would be a good idea. There's probably kits out there - probably at a hundred vendors. Where do you guys/gals look for stuff? If it's not the same place, where do you buy it? Anybody to stay away from? Of course I'm talking about nationwide coverage, or Chicagoland if anyone lives around me. And remember, I'm a novice at EFI/computer chips, and late model cars in general. sean See? I'm learning. not a friendly word in there <G>

I had a MAC cold air kit. It sounded nice, I don't know what it did for me performance wise. After getting a C&L Mass air meter I sold the cold air kit thru Ebay. There are a ton of bargains in Ebay if you are looking for go fast parts. > >

i order as much as i can from summit racing (summitracing.com) because there's no sales tax (saved me hundreds) and usually free shipping. ONLY CALL THEM IF YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT! their tech line is USELESS. it cost me hours of labor and two days without my car.... long story. anyway, if you know what you want, it's great. if you have part numbers and just want them to send it to you, PERFECT! other than that, just check out sites: 50resto.com, steeda.com, saleen.com, dave's mustang parts, etc. take your pick. d&d has the cheapest NICE shifter.... kaj

well, i ordered wheel spacers. i wanted to try to eliminate the backspacing problem on the GTs. nothing performance oriented, i just thought it was ugly. aaaaaaaaaaaaanyway, i called their 'tech' dept. and asked... i QUOTE, "will these spacers work with the stock axle studs? i will only order them if i know they will fit". maybe that last comment was a bad idea. anyway, the guys SWORE that they would fit. sooooooooooooo, i put them on and stripped out two studs. SO, i call them back and the guy tells me i never talked to a tech rep 'cause they wouldn't have given me that info. they basically called me a liar. they ended up selling me some MOROSO axle studs that were long enough and told me they would go in as the stock ones do (just tighten them down on with the lug nuts). WELL, they have to be PRESSED in, which requires removal of the axles, etc. by the time the week was done (no car for 4 days while the brakes/studs were out) i ditched the spacers and the studs, went to the dealership, bought all new stock ones, and put my wheels back on. did i mention the tow truck i paid for to take my car to/from a garage because they said the could press in the studs, only they stripped two more? here's what i learned: i KNEW the spacers wouldn't fit, but i believed their 'experts'. i KNEW the axle studs would need to be pressed in (they are much longer and have more of a load on them, thus needing to be more secure), but listened to their experts. lesson learned?? don't listen to their 'experts'. as i said if you know the PART NUMBER, not just the part, then they are good to call. i don't believe i've ever received the right part when i've left it up to them. in fact, just yesterday, i called to get the price i paid for a part i ordered. i told him what it was, he quoted me a price HALF what i paid. i told him i thought he had the wrong part, and he assured me he had the right one. i compared the part # he gave me to the part# i had and they weren't the same. if it weren't for the fact that they have no sales tax and the shipping is free........ let that be a bit of advice from us to anyone who mail orders parts!! i'm gooooooooooooooone kaj

Anyone know where they are in FL? I'd love to browse one around here in Duval County. Lisa
