Just wondering if anyone has removed their air intake silencer, and if it really made much of a difference with HP's? In other words, is it worth removing? Thanks!

I removed mine and I can tell a very slight difference but the sound is excellent. when you give it half throttle it almost sounds like you opened the fours. good luck.

I agree, I took the airbox out and the silence behind the wheel- well/in the fender and the sound is great. I placed a K&N 9-inch conical filter there and it made a slight difference. I'm thinking of going with headers and a cat-back system by Flowmasters. That's WHEN I have the money to do so! Gonzalo Duque "Gonzo"

removed mine on 97 lx 4.6,added a flat panel K&N and fashioned home made ram air,the difference is very noticeable in sound and a horsepower gain
