Hi,<br><br>I'm new to this group....my wife and I have a hold check waiting on a new '01 ZX3 (black)....we are due to sign the papers on Thursday 10/4, but we'd like input from some of you other folks who already have Foci, specifically the '01 ZX3 model. We've got the 16" wheels added, other than that I think it's a pretty base-model vehicle.<br><br>Thanks for your help. I'll be checking in from time to time between now and then.

I bought my fully loaded black ZX3 in July and have had no problems at all except a bit of loose trim on the passenger door but my dealer replaced the whole door panel. You will notice MPG will not be great at first but it does get better and the car looks so hot in black even tho she gets dirty easily! The car is so quiet and handles like a dream (so glad I didnt get that Golf). I say go for it and enjoy but go thru the interior with a fine tooth comb checking for loose/ill-fitting trim!<br><br>PS Id go for A/C if you can, my car heats up really quick in the sun!<br><br>:)

I noticed that you said that you had problems with the door trim. Mine is a 2000 ZX3 and I notice that the rubber around the passenger door is starting to come off the body of that car. It looks like it was glued on. What did your dealer do to fix yours?<br> I have to agree I love the black color...It's the best....

I havent had any problems with mine yet,although I have only had it for 4 days.

We went back to look at it again last night, it is the Premium package with 16" wheels, Cruise Control, A/C, etc. (Don't think I'd survive without it on a black car in Texas during the summer.)<br><br>We've also been looking at the '02 Mitsu Lancer. Couldn't get good payments/terms with the Mitsu dealer last night, although we liked the ride a good bit better with the Lancer. The ZX3 was still adequate, but it'll be the wife's car, so the ultimate decision will belong to her and our budget. <br><br>Thanks to all for your responses....keep 'em coming.

I only think that recall applied to cars built in Nov2000, but correct me if I am wrong!
