i have a 86 bronco with a np208 transfercase will a AOD bolt up to the np208. i have a c6 tranny and i want to know if i have to change the tranny mounts.

Yes it will bolt up. But you will have to move your tranny mounts to the rear and lengthen your xfer case linkage, then lengthening and shortening driveshafts. Its a real pain. Are you looking for gas mileage? Or more torque down low? <br>If you are looking for the bottom end torque I recommend buying a copy of this months Peterson 4 wheel & off road magazine. They got a great article on swapping gears from a E4OD into a C6. Greatly increasing strength and torque. But you keep your 3rd gear mileage. But if you're looking for the mileage, your truck is gonna be down for a bit while you put the AOD in.

The tranny will probably bolt up, but the transfer case will not bolt up to the tranny, that part will be the killer, I'm pretty sure that the tranny will have to be torn down completely to change the output shafts.

It is gonna be a 4x4 AOD tranny. Also why would it only probably bolt up to a 302?
