Hello Everyone, I currently have 50,000mi and have serviced my ATX once($2400!). The transmission never showed any symptoms, but the O/D light flash. The mechanic said that an electrical problem caused the mechanical one. My concern now is that the O/D light recently flashed again. This doesn't happen in city driving, but on the highway. After it was serviced it was perfect, until last night when I went back to school (2hrdrive at 80mph). What I did notice is that it runs a little too hot. Does anyone have tranny problems? Any ideas as to what I could do? I don't want to cough up another 2,400! Thanks for any help. Ron 96 PSE

It may be your Mass Air Sencer. My 94 SE automatic was doing the same thing and when I replaced it the O/D light went out and never came back on. It also noticed a little increase in power

Im getting the same thing. I had my ATX rebuilt about 2000 miles ago and after driving on the highway the light went on again. I did a quick fix that i learned from www.probetalk.com. I just disconnected the Negative battery terminal for a minute or 2 and the light didnt come back on. Until now, Recently it came back on. It only comes on after i drive for a long period of time. Im going to install a tranny cooler asap. Im hoping that will fix it up -Shawn
