I notice that the article has already been mentioned earlier, but my thoughts are that if Ford is letting SVT do all kinds of factory upgrades maybe they won't be so quick to stop production on the 3 door model!!! They want it to take over like the civic si, well they can't do that if they quit making that body style. I hope they keep it in production because I like it much better than the sedan or the wagon! Ever since I saw the earlier post on here about stopping production it really bummed me out. This is one of the few small cars that look hot and drive great that a tall person can be comfortable in! Hopefully it stays around long enough for me to get one!! jkp

Ford has not had any plans on dropping the 3 door model...

See all the replies to that message, the 3dr is going no where, it's the ZX2 (escort) that is at the end of its rope..

That's good, I only read it the first time it was posted and didn't realize it was a fake. Didn't make sense though since the seem to be selling like hotcakes, I know the big execs make a lot of mistakes, but not usually when it would cost them money!! Thanks for clearing that up for me, I am not able to get on all the time and I miss a lot of posts.
