Hey group, I'm in the process of switching my front bumper cover from the base to a SE. Some people have told me I'll have to change the bumper itself (black one behind the bumper cover) while others have said it should work with the base bumper. Is there a difference? I don't want to have to spend the extra $$$$ if it isn't necessary. Thanks, Mike '93 base soon to look like SE '90 LX

I did the switch on my car and I did have to replace the whole assembly! I replaced the cover, rebar, absorber, and corner lights. You CANNOT just buy the new bumper cover. Peace. Dan

I also did the swap- i had to replace it all... at least on the front. {the back is a different story. Michael
