I recently did my tub with a do-it-yourself bedlinger from duplicolor (about $60 for a kit, which includes a roller, sanding pad, liner paint- enough for a good two coats). It was fairly easy to do. You need to properly clean and prepare the area first. Then it is just a matter of rolling it on. They even have a it in the form of a spray (about $10) that was great for corners and other tight spaces. As far as quality, it is ok. It takes at least 2 coats, but I would recommend 3-4. It looks great, has a nice texture, but is fairly easy to scratch. The good thing about it, though, is that you can easily use the spray or even the roller to fix any small scratches that you might get. I have heard that Herculiner has a kit for about $100. From the add, it looked like it might be a little more "rubbery". I checked on rhinoliner also. It was going to cost around $400. It is definately a superior prodect. It is thick and will last a long time. It would be my first choice, but my crazy wife thinks that we should eat, so I had to go with what i could afford. Hope that helps

levi reiter
77 bronco

I used the Herculiner stuff. It's a pretty good deal. For about $100, you can get enough to do your bed. It's also really tough. Good luck getting it off if you mess up. About that only way that I found was to cut with a knife and peel. That sometimes works. I used about 2.5 coats, and it's not quite as thick as I thought it would be, but it's holding up quite well.

Thank you for the help reiter_911 and Afaflyboy, I think of right now im on the "do-it-myself" side, the rhino liner, is it actually worth the 350-400, id have to wait a little longer to get it lined because of money. Will the do it yourself eventually start to flake and chip, etc.?

Thanks again,
~Nick
'71 Bronco

I've had the Herculiner for about a year now. No problems with chipping or flaking or anything like that.
