I bought a Rhode Gear Speedster Shuttle with a 3 bike capacity; it fits like a glove on the ZX3. Only paid $39.99 for it at Sports Authority -- I think that's their regular price. Watch out, though: I've already chipped the paint on the rear hatch from the bike pedals. I'm going to try using old socks to cover the pedals or any other protruding metal from bikes. And if that doesn't work, I'm sticking with tennis ....

I am interested in finding a rack for my ZX3, but I am somewhat concerned. My dad has a '97 escort sedan and he got a similar rack, and it distorted his trunklid so much it started to leak. Is this a concern also for the focus? Any other affordable rack solutions?

I don't know about expense but the trailer hitch mounted racks look very sturdy and should not screw anything in your car up. You will need to get a trailer hitch mounted tho.
