Does anyone have the Borla exhaust on their car? If so how do you like? I have been thinking about an exhaust for my car. But I wanted one that would give it a low tone kinda like my AEM cold air kit if you know what I mean. I not wanting to get one that gives it a loud sound. Do you all have any suggestions.

Thanks

I have a Borla muffler which is from the GT cat back system. The muffler sounds really nice, i get a lot of complements from other import/sport compact car enthusiasts. Although I prefer a single tip opposed to the dual tips. I still like it a lot though. Im not sure what the new Borla Boomer muffler sounds like. Marc

first you need to get a high flow cat on there second yes removing your resonater will hurt your performance just save your money and get a bro speed header, and not having your cat on your probe is also killing your performance also.

I replace my cat with a exhaust tubing (test pipe), and from the look at my dyno results, I would definately have to say I didn't loose anything. If you figure the "assumed" 15% drive train loses, which is almost verified from PGT dyno results, I am producing 121 hp ( ok, I am not producing 121, but my car is ), on an engine rated at 118 hp. While I am not going admit there is a big performance gain, I would be hard pressed to say that it hurts performance. Bryan Pendleton probenet.tripod.com >

Well you can still buy the XR-1 mufflers which is what comes in the cat-back kits...then you can buyt their tips seperately....and have your muffler shop make 2 3/4 inch stainless steel pipe from the mufflers to rear, weld on the tips and basically you would have the Borla cat-back. Believe me it is well worth having Borla...i've had flowmaster....and really doesn't compare to Borla. my 2 cents

Here is another one for you Gizmo. Do you know if the XR-1 mufflers will replace the original mufflers. The rest of my stainless exhaust is still mint?

I think the XR-1 mufflers have 2-1/2" openings....I'm not exactly sure right this second...I will find out and will let you know.
