My brother and I were talking today and he brought up something I never thought of. Would the 96+ 2.0L engine see the same (roughly) gains from the Bosal header and exhaust as the 93-95? Is fitment the same? He brought it up because of the problems some PGT owners have between 93-95 cars and 96+ cars having changes over the years. I dont think it will make a difference, the only thing being different is the extra O2 sensor. Thanks for any input. Dedric Ramsey dedric@...

It is really hard to say. On 96+ models, an aftermarket header will eliminate a "pre-cat" which the 93-95's don't have, but fitment is identical. While you may be considerably freeing up the exhaust track on 96+ models you are also tampering with the OBDII stuff, which isn't usally good. Bryan >

I totally forgot about the pre cat on this car. Hopefully it wont make a huge difference, since this car passed emissions WAY below the limit, they run pretty clean. If it does affect emissions, it should still pass, but its something to think about. Ill have to monitor the emissions equipment before and after with the autotap and see if anything's changed. If anyone has anymore information on the precat, let me know. Thanks. Dedric Ramsey dedric@...
