It sounds like you reduced the backpressure so much that the
engine doesn't make much power until higher up in the rpm range.
Whether or not you have lost HP as well could only be answered at the dyno
or maybe even the track. So this could be a good thing if it added power
at higher rpm's, or a bad thing on the street where you need more low end.
I suppose it all depends on what you want. The only things I could think of
to add backpressure is a Supertrapp muffler, adding steel wool
in the exhaust, or just going back to a stock cat. I think the steel wool
would affect sound more than backpressure however. Good to hear it
sounds nice, headers and exhaust are in the works
here too as soon as the passenger side door is fixed.
