Hi guys and gals, I recently got a used 2000 Ford ZX3 and have seen horror stories about the brake making noises. I will be bringing my ZX3 in to have some dings fixed and the squeaky brakes fixed. Do any of you got any more information about the brake dilemma. Thanks for your help, I am a ZX3 newborn!

Congrats! It's fun car I think you'll like it. Every dealership I have been to have informed me that squeaking in the rear brakes is normal. It is when you here the horrible metal on metal sound that you know you are in trouble. Of course as long as you keep on top of the maintainence you do not not need to worry about things like that. If there is noise in the front brakes, deffinetly get it checked out. One recommendation, if they want to turn (machine) your front rotors, do not let them. Spend an extra $100 on sport brake rotors from EBC. A number of focus performance sites carry them. Take a look at myzx3.com under performance for more info. Make sure all the recalls have been performed on the car. A dealership should be able to do that for you at no cost. I can't think of anything else. Welcome!
