Regarding the drums to disc brakes conversion:
I researched this topic some time ago as I had an opportunity to pick up the
neccessary parts for the conversion at a salvage yard for about $250-$300.
For the rear of the car you need the spindles, rotors, calipers, and I
believe you need the connecting brack lines. The spindles simply bolt to the
existing suspension component, then slap the rotor on, and the spindle has
the appropriate mounts for the caliper. As for the brake line, I am not
quit sure, but I believe you need the lines too. As for the master
cylinder, I checked all through my technical service manual and found no
indication the that the master cylinders were different. If you do pick up
used calipers, make sure you get newer ones, not the 93 models or early 94's
as these were the years they would lock up, I believe.
Enjoy,
