I own (or should I say will own in 2-1/2yrs) a 2001 Focus ZX3 and have been hearing all kinds of horor stories regarding cheap brakes on Focus models. I am considering putting non-Ford brakes on my car when it comes to replacing them but here is my question. I live in Vancouver Canada, is there any Canadian website or after-market dealer where I can buy the parts from? What parts will actually need to be replaced? Any idea how long these parts should last? How much, to by and get them fitted? And, will it affect my warranty with Ford? I know that its a lot of questions but I am concerned that Ford brake parts run out too quick and it may be cheaper in the long run. If it helps I have in no way modified my car from its factory standard. Thanks in advance :)
