I've been reading the message board since last year, but this is my first post. I'm upgrading my brakes this month, with some of that income tax $ . I'm considering Powerslot or Brembo. Brembo can cost me up to $20 more per rotor than Power slot, but if I can save some cash going for Powerslot I might make the extra effort and go for the SS Brake lines (front only for now). Would you guys, and girls (sorry Carolyn :) ), recommend the Power slots? I want Street performance only, since I don't do any drag racing... yet. Also, do I really have to get the performance pads (the can get expensive) or just plain good ones will do? If you know of any good deals on either brand, let me know.

You have to weigh your money situation on this one. Both rotors are excellent for different reasons. The Powerslot are made of a thicker material which means they will last longer, but weigh more. They are also silver. Cross drilled rotors are thinner and weigh less, but are more likely to warp. Now for the pads. FORK OVER SOME CASH. Both slotted and cross-drilled will EAT pads alive. The better quality pad, the longer life they will have. HTH, Steve

Id recommend Axxis MetalMasters for pads. The ones on the PSE grip like mad, it almost hurts. :) Dedric Ramsey dedric@... http://www.avana.net/~dedric/

I've got the Powerslots & I love em................. They're much better than stock & the definately stops better. When I bought my 94 GT V6 the front rotors were warped. I've been told this is a common thing but I ca'nt say for sure. Anyways, I like the Powerslots very well & they were fairly inexpensive. Less than $60.00 a piece less pads. Added bonus they look very cool......................Craig
