I got a zx5 2002 with 20,000 that I love to drive & no big problems til I loaned my car to my 18 yr old daughter & she or one of her friends put gas in it & GUESS WHAT? The darn gas door flap is made out of PLASTIC--it broke into 2 pieces-the arm attached to the Focus & the FLAP

Here's a how-to on putting a Mustang Bullit aluminum fuel door on the Focus. You can buy one at your local Ford dealer. I was going to do this to mine when I get a chance.   http://www.myfordfocus.com/how-to/fueldoor.htm   See ya, Nick
