i have a 00 contour se/sport with a 2.5 duratec V6, it seems to cam for like 10 min when it's cold. it started doing that after i changed the exhuast and intake. it didn't all summer but it's doing it now when it's cold in the morning, any clues would help

I assume you're referring to valve tappet-like noises, or "ticking" coming from the heads? What weight oil are you using? Ford recommends 5W-30, and although the lighter weight means some oil is burned, it ensures better lubrication. I switched over to Mobil 1 (synthetic) and use it exclusively. You could try a thicker weight oil to quiet the noise. That's all I can think of -- the Duratec has automatic valve-lash adjustment, so that shouldn't be a factor as long as everything is functioning properly.
