OK my ZX3 has 25,000 miles on it, i just tried to rotate my tires today and my back left wheel won't come of the hub, I hit it, shoved it, banged it. Did everything I could to it without knocking it off the jack and no dice. I put some anti corrosive stuff all thoughout the deal and hit it with some WD40 to boot and still nothing. it can't weld itself on there can it?

I drive the thing hard but not Jeff Gordon hard, I can't figure it out.

jeff gordon doesn't drive hard. he makes 200 mile an hour left turns. colin mcrae drives hard :)

try bringing it to a tire shop, and ask em to pull it off for you. It's just on there good some how, it should just fall off or whatever, but you've probobly just got some dirt on the tires or sumthin.

and! if they can't do it, go to ford.

I got ya on the Colin Mcrae thing but ya know i live 10 miles from Michigan International Speedway so I am kinda partial to racing on asphault, although I do like to pretend I am Colin Mcrae sometimes on the dirt roads around here. Deal is Colin Mcrae has to deal with teh road only, Jeff Gordon has to deal with the road and 42 other cars while he goes 500 miles in 2 and a half hours time.

Lets not try and compare rally drivers to NASCAR drivers. Rally drivers must negotiate not only the road which my be ice, gravel, dirt or pavement(sometimes all of the above). They also have to worry about little things like hitting trees at over 100mph or sliding off of a 100ft cliff. I'm sure to those guys, other cars on the road going the same speed and the same direction would be childs play!

I know I know i watch WRC all the time, but I think any one for of motorsports is just a as hard as the other. Put Colin Mcrae in a 700 HP Winston Cup car at Talledeaga and see how he does inches from other cars at 200 MPH. On the same note put Dale Earnhardt Jr. behind the wheel of a Focus WRC on the snow in sweden and see how he does.
But I think you all overlook the fact that racers like Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart are awesome road racers and in my opinion could smoke an F1 driver if given comparable equipment. These ghuys have driven on dirt, pavement, open wheel, stock cars you name it.
To compare one form of motorsports to another is a bit ridiculous. They all take different skills totally and given the time these guys put into each sport they do....you know the rest.
Anyway, hitting a wall at 200 mph is no less intimidating thenm what you have posted above I have hi a tree at 70 MPH and I walked away from it. Good ol 95 T-Bird awesome car that one was but i was a little over eager at 16 years of age and wrecked a brand new car.

I had the same problem when my ZX3 hit 6,000 and it was time to rotate the tires. Both of the rear wheels where difficult to get off. I sprayed it with the stuff that helps break nuts off of bolts when they freeze up. It took about an hour of pushing and pulling until it finally broke loose. Then I cleaned the rotors with some rust remover so hopefully next time its time to rotate them it'll be easier. I wonder if it has anything to do with the recall, I won't be getting that done until March.

I had the same difficulty getting the driver's side rear wheel off for a rotation at 10,000 miles. I finally went with the towel and large hammer approach.
From speaking with a couple of mechanics, difficulty with getting the wheels off of cars is fair common, so I am not too worried about it. It would suck being out on the higway with a flat though. The recommendation was in that scenerio was to loosen the nuts, then drive a very short distance, less than 100 feet, and try again to remove the wheel.
Life is easier with a lift and a hammer.
