My car was fine when I drove it to the store. When I came home and tried to pop the trunk with the release button it did not work. So I was just going to use my key. Well, when I removed my key from the ignition the chimes went off reminding me my keys were in the ignition but they were in my hand, the running and tail-lights are on and the car will not start. When I tried to start the car all of the gauges go all the way up and then drop back down and the CD player is stuck on STANDBY. Could it be the key or the Viper alarm system on the car????? ANY advice is welcome.

sunce.gif Just to let anyone else with this problem know it WAS the alarm system. We took it out and the car is running fine. Start with the cheap and simple solutions first!!!!!!!
