when you installed the exhaust system, did you unhook the battery before you did it<br>and is yours a 2001?

Why woudl you unhook the battery when u change the system?? I didn;t unhook anything except the stock exhaust.

AFIK It resets the ECU so that it can then readjust it's settings to compensate for your new modification.
